The Climate Change Law and Policy Project conducts research on issues that affect the public's health law, including emergency preparedness, and national security. The central focus of the program is now on the effects of global warming and ocean rise on coastal communities. Louisiana is the most at risk area in the United States, combining a very low and unstable coast with exposure to major hurricanes on average every seven years.
