TITLE:  DoD Instruction 6055.11, "Protection of DoD Personnel from Exposure to Radiofrequency Radiation and Military Exempt Lasers", 02/21/1995

SUMMARY: This Instruction: (1) Reissues DoD Instruction 6055.11, August 20, 1986, incorporates and cancels DoD Instruction 6050.6, may 1, 1978, supplements DoD Directive 1000.3, March 29, 1979, adopts the RF exposure guidelines in Institute of Electrical and electronics Engineers (IEEE) C95.1-1991, and updates procedures for protection of personnel from radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF EMF). (2) Establishes policy and assigns responsibilities, pursuant to DoD Directive 1000.3, and for individual military laser products that are exempt form the radiation safety performance standards set forth in Title 21, Code of federal Regulations, Part 1040.
