TITLE:  DoD Instruction 6050.5, "DoD Hazard Communication Program", 10/29/1990

SUMMARY: This Instruction reissues DoD Instruction 6050.5, January 25, 1978; fulfills the requirements of Title 29, Section 1910.1200, May 4, 1987 and Section 1910.1450, January 31, 1990; updates DoD policy responsibilities and procedures for a Comprehensive Hazard Communication Program that: prescribes training for DoD personnel to ensure that they are aware of the potential health hazards associated with their occupation. It requires the DoD Components to comply with the Occupational Safety and health Administration under 20 CFR 1910.120, 1920.1200, and 1900.1450 hazard communication standards (HCS).
