TITLE:  DoD Directive 5515.10, "Settlement and Payment of Claims Under the Military Personnel and Civilian Employees' Claims Act of 1964", 06/17/1965

SUMMARY: This Directive delegates authority: By virtue of the authority vested in the Secretary of Defense by Military Personnel and Civilian Employees' Claims Act of 1964 (31 U.S.C. 240-242) and Section 133(d) of title 10, United State Code, the authorities of the Secretary of Defense to prescribe regulations governing the settlement and payment of claims under Military personnel and Civilian Employees' Claims Act of 1964 (31 U.S.C. 240-242), to settle and pay those claims, and to report once a year to Congress thereon, are delegated to the Secretary of the Army, or his designee, as to civilian officers or employees of the Department of Defense who are not officers or employees of a military department, and to the Secretary of the Army, the Secretary of the Navy, and the Secretary of the Air Force, or their designees, as to members of the armed forces under their respective jurisdiction and civilian officers or employees of their respective military departments.
