TITLE:  DoD Directive 5500.7, "Standards of Conduct", 08/30/1993

SUMMARY:  This Directive: 1. Reissues DoD Directive 5500.7, May 6, 1987, replaces DoD Directive 5500.2, August 4 1972, and DoD Directive 5120.47, September 5, 1989, and implements E. O. 12674, April 12, 1989; Public Law 95-521, October 26, 1978; Title 5, 10, 18, 31, 41, U. S. C.; Federal Acquisition Regulation, part 3.104-6, current edition; Title 5, C. F. Rs. The "18 U.S.C. 208(b) Waiver" section of DoD Directive 5500.7, May 6, 1987 has been retained at 32 C.F.R. 40.1 and reprinted in Appendix D of DoD 5500.7-R. 2. Cancels DD Form 1357, March 1987, and DD Form 1555, March 1987. The Office of Government Ethics' (OGE) SF 450, "Confidential Financial Disclosure Report," July 1992, replaces DD Form 1555. 3. Authorizes the publication of DoD 5500.7-R, August 30, 1993, in accordance with DoD 5025.1-M, December 1990, which prescribes standards of conduct required of all DoD employees; establishes criteria and procedures for filing DD Form 1787,, July 1992, SF 450, and SF 278, former DoD employees; provides ethics training guidance; and sets general responsibilities and enforcement procedures.
