TITLE:  DoD Directive 5240.12, "Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Commercial Activities (ICAS)", 12/02/1992

SUMMARY: This Directive: 1. Implements Sections 431 through 437 of Title 10 of the United States Code in furtherance of the accomplishment of DoD intelligence responsibilities authorized under Executive Order 12333, December 4, 1981 and DoD Directive 5240.1, April 25, 1988. 2. Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for establishment and use of DoD ICAs necessary to provide security for authorized intelligence collection activities abroad undertaken by the Department of Defense.
