TITLE:  DoD Instruction 4120.24, "Defense Standardization Program (DSP)", 06/18/1998

SUMMARY: This Instruction implements a Defense Standardization Program (DSP) as required by Sections 2451 and 2452 of title 10, United States Code, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures; Designates the Director, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), as the DoD Executive Agent for the DSP;  Authorizes continued publication of DoD 4120.24-M, "Defense Standardization Program (DSP) Policies and Procedures," current edition, authorized by this Instruction, consistent with DoD 5025.1-M, "DoD Directives System Procedures," August 1994, authorized by DoD Directive 5025.1, June 24, 1994, to provide guidance and procedures for the DSP.
