TITLE:  DoD Directive 3115.8, "Collection of Information on Non-U.S. Persons Outside the United States at Request of U.S. Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs)", 09/07/1999

SUMMARY:  This Directive establishes policies and procedures and allocates responsibilities for implementation within the Department of Defense (DoD) of reference (a), which provides that designated Department Intelligence Components may, upon the request of a United States Federal Law Enforcement Agency (LEA), collect information outside the United States about individuals who are not United States persons, for use in law enforcement investigations or counterintelligence investigations.
