TITLE:  DoD Instruction 2040.2, "International Transfers of Technology, Goods, Services, and Munitions", 01/17/1984

SUMMARY: This Directive implements relevant portions of Public Law 96-72, "The Export Administration Act of 1979, " as amended (50 U.S.C. 2401 et seq.),  Public Law 94-329, "The Arms Export Control Act," as amended (22 U.S.C. 2751 et seq.), and National Security Decision Directive Number 5, "Conventional Arms Transfer Policy, " July 8, 1981 by establishing policy, assigning responsibilities, and prescribing procedures for international transfer of defense-related technology, goods, services, and mutinous.  This Directive also establishes the DoD International Technology Transfer (IT2) Panel and Sub panels.
