TITLE:  DoD Directive 2000.17, "United States Policy on the Committee on Women in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Forces", 02/04/1998

SUMMARY: This directive establishes policy and assigns responsibilities under DoD Directive 5100.1, September 25, 1987 for the United States' participation on the committee on Women in the NATO Forces in accordance with the terms of reference for the Committee on Women in the NATO Forces under North Atlantic Treaty Organization Military Committee Report 249, July 19, 1976. North Atlantic Treaty Organization Military Committee Report 249 establishes the Committee on Women in the NATO Forces, sets out the composition of the committee, provides for the election of the chair, the frequency of meetings, and the communication procedures with the Secretary General through the Military Committee.
