Michael S. Gazzaniga, Ph.D.

Council Member

Michael Gazzaniga, Ph.D., is the David T. McLaughlin Distinguished Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience, Dean of the Faculty, and Director of the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at Dartmouth College. Dr. Gazzaniga conducts research on how the brain enables the mind. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Neurological Association. His publications include The New Cognitive Neurosciences (2000) and The Mind's Past (1998).
