These lectures were originally delivered on November 12, 2000 in Boston at a conference sponsored by the American Association of Public Health Physicians and taped by Virginia Dato MD MPH of the Center for Public Health Practice, University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health. No commercial use of these lectures may be made without the explicit written permission of Professors Gostin and Richards. 


Professor Gostin is Co-Director of the Georgetown/Johns Hopkins Program on Law and author of the book, Public  Health Law: Power, Duty, Restraint

Professor Richards is Director of The Center for Public Health Law at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law  and co-author of Medical Care Law, Aspen (1999).
