SUMMARY: This Instruction reissues and updates reference Administrative Instruction 47, subject as above, July 22, 1983 (hereby canceled) to provide policy, prescribe procedures, and assign responsibilities for establishing and operating imprest funds; and implements reference DoD Instruction 5100.71 "Delegation of Authority and Regulations Relating to Cash Held at Personal Risk Including Imprest Funds, " March 5, 1973, as amended.
