SUMMARY: The purpose of this Instruction is to provide implementing regulations as required in reference Department of Defense Instruction 1418.2 dated Feb. 16, 1956 for the wearing of uniforms by civilian employees. These regulations shall apply to those civilian employees who are assigned to the operation of a passenger motor vehicle used by key officials who have been specifically authorized by the Secretary of Defense to have chauffeurs.
