Medical and Public Health Law Site TITLE: DoD Directive 5105.62, "Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)",
09/30/1998 SUMMARY: Pursuant to the authority vested
in the Secretary of Defense under reference (a), this Directive establishes the DTRA with
responsibilities, functions, and authorities as prescribed herein. The DTRA is formed by
the consolidation of selected elements of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Staff,
and the Defense Special Weapons Agency (reference (b)), On-Site Inspection Agency
(reference (c)), and the Defense Technology Security Administration (reference (d)), which
