SUMMARY: This Directive reissues DoD Directive 5105.2. In accordance with the authorities contained in Section 113 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby delegate to Deputy Secretary of Defense John J. Hamre full power and authority to act for the Secretary of Defense and to exercise the powers of the Secretary of Defense upon any and all matters concerning which the the Secretary of Defense is authorized to act pursuant to law. The all- inclusive authority delegated herein may not be redelegated in total; however, the Deputy is authorized to make specific redelegations, as required.
