02/10/1981 SUMMARY: 1. This Directive reissues DoD
directive 5100.76, May 17, 1977 (hereby canceled) to continue, in restructured form, the
Physical Security Review Board, and modify the reporting criteria previously set forth. It
outlines the authorities, responsibilities, and functions relative to the formulation of
world-wide uniform policy, standards, and procedures for the physical security of nuclear
weapons, devices, reactors, and materials, and conventional arms, ammunition, and
explosives in the possession or custody of DoD Components. 2. This Directive also
authorized the issuance of DoD Manual 5100.76-M, "Physical Security of Sensitive
Conventional Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives," and appropriate supplements,
