SUMMARY: This directive amplifies the responsibilities assigned in DoD Directive 5132.2, May 20, 1961; DoD Directive 5129.1, February 10, 1959; DoD Directive 5126.22, January 30, 1961; DoD Directive 5100.27, December 29, 1964 as they apply specifically to U.S. participation in North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) groups established under the terms of NATO Document C-M(66).. (Revised), 30 May 1966 to promote cooperation in the research, development, production and logistic support of military equipment. It supplements the policies established in DoD Directive 3100.3, September 27, 1963 governing U.S. cooperation with Allies in this area.
