SUMMARY:  This Directive:  1. Reissues DoD Directive 5040.4 dated September 30, 1996, to update policy and responsibilities for the Joint Combat Camera (COMCAM) Program.  2. In conjunction with DoD Directive 5040.2, DoD Instruction 5040.6, and DoD Directive 5122.5, updates policies and responsibilities for the conduct of COMCAM in support of joint, combined, and Service-specific military operations of joint interest.  3. Continues to authorize the Joint COMCAM Program.  4. Establishes the DoD Joint Combat Camera Planning Group (JCCPG).
