SUMMARY:  This Regulation is reissued under the authority of DoD Directive 4500.36, "Management, Acquisition, and Use of Motor Vehicles," dated April 10, 1985, and delineates authorities and responsibilities concerning DoD-owned or -leased motor vehicles (hereafter referred to as "motor vehicles" or "DoD motor vehicles"). DOD 4500.36-R, "Management, Acquisition, and Use of Motor Vehicles," July 21, 1981, is hereby canceled.
