Manual", 09/26/1997 SUMMARY: This manual is issued under the authority of
DoD 4140.1, Materiel Management Policy. Its purpose
is to set forth policy and procedures for the supply chain (life-cycle)
management of standard and hazardous shelf-life items contained in the Federal
Supply System. Also, to authorize the establishment of hazardous materiel
recycling and reutilization practices to ensure the reduction of the number of
