SUMMARY:  This Regulation is reissued under authority of DoD Directive 4140.1, "Materiel Management Policy," January 4, 1993. It prescribes requirements and procedures on the uniform management of DoD materiel. DoD 4140.1-R, DoD Materiel Management Reuglation," May 1998, is hereby canceled.
