SUMMARY:  This Directive establishes the Joint DoD Committee on Fitness for the uniformed members of the armed forces. Consistent with DoD Directive 1308.1, June 29, 1981, formalizes the functions and responsibilities of the committee in regard to the coordination and furtherance of fitness programs within the Military Services.
