Medical and Public Health Law Site TITLE: DoD Instruction 1300.23, "Isolated Personnel
Training for DoD Civilian and Contractors," 08/20/2003 SUMMARY: This Instruction: 1. Implements
policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures to prepare DoD
civilian employees, DoD contractors, and other personnel designated by the
Secretaries of the Military Departments and the Combatant Commanders with the
training necessary in accordance with section 1501 of title 10, United States
Code and DoD Directive 2310.2 to cope with possible capture and return to
U.S. control with honor, in accordance with DoD Directive 1300.7. 2.
Designates the Commander, United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM), as the
official responsible for Code of Conduct training standards in accordance with
