SUMMARY: This Directive reissues DoD Directive 1100.6, "National Defense Executive Reserve," March 30, 1965 (hereby canceled), to implement the amendment noted in Executive Order 11179, "Providing for the National Defense Executive Reserve," September 22, 1964, as amended by Executive Order 12148, July 20, 1979; and thereby establishes policy, prescribes procedures, and assigns responsibilities for the National Defense Executive Reserve (NDER).
